Salary: R158,652 – R183,387 per annum (excluding benefits)

  • Two years’ relevant work experience
  • Physically fit and healthy
  • No criminal record

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general labour duties as allocated
  • Assist with cleaning municipal and public facilities
  • Help with venue preparation for events and functions
  • Provide support to other municipal services as required

2. Artisan Assistant – 14 Posts

Salary: R183,387 – R204,171 per annum (excluding benefits)

Requirements:

  • Grade 10 or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum one year relevant experience
  • Physically fit and healthy
  • No criminal record
  • Trade test certificate (advantageous)
  • Valid driver’s licence (advantageous)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist artisans with maintenance and repairs of municipal fleet and equipment
  • Handle tools, machinery, and equipment safely
  • Maintain cleanliness in workshops and work areas
  • Perform tasks as directed by supervisors

3. Cleaner – 6 Posts

Salary: R158,652 – R183,387 per annum (excluding benefits)

Responsibilities:

  • Clean municipal offices, buildings, and public facilities
  • Ensure hygiene and neatness in designated areas
  • Provide cleaning support during functions and events

4. Library Assistant – 8 Posts

Salary: R183,387 – R204,171 per annum (excluding benefits)

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 qualification
  • Basic computer literacy
  • No prior experience required

Responsibilities:

  • Assist visitors with borrowing and returning books
  • Help with cataloguing, shelving, and circulation
  • Maintain library records and databases
  • Provide general library administrative support

5. Messenger/Driver – 3 Posts

Salary: R183,387 – R204,171 per annum (excluding benefits)

Requirements:

  • Grade 10 qualification
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • At least one year’s driving experience

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver official documents and parcels between departments
  • Transport staff and goods safely when required
  • Ensure vehicles are maintained, clean, and roadworthy
  • Follow municipal safety and transport procedures

6. Parks and Garden Worker – 12 Posts

Salary: R158,652 – R183,387 per annum (excluding benefits)

  • Grade 10 qualification
  • No prior experience required
  • Physically fit and healthy

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain municipal gardens, parks, and open spaces
  • Plant, water, and prune trees, shrubs, and flowers
