Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Brand Identity
- Keep the Varsity College brand visible and consistent—from posters to online ads to the campus vibe.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure cohesive campus messaging and atmosphere.
2. Administration
- Create and submit the annual events calendar, then monthly updates by the 26th.
- Compile post-event reports to track outcomes, attendance, and areas for improvement.
3. Events Management
- Design a diverse event schedule that appeals to prospective students and campus life.
- Oversee internal advertising, logistics, and budgets.
- Nurture external relationships to secure excellent venues, sponsorships, and prizes.
4. Social Committee Leadership
- Recruit, train, and manage student volunteers for the campus Social Committee.
- Develop initiatives that engage students in cultural and community-focused activities.
5. Team Support
- Partner with the Head of Student Services and Student Relations Manager on awareness campaigns.
- Help coordinate graduation ceremonies and support other campus events.
- Lend your event expertise to departments that request it.
Required Competencies

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualification & Experience
- Minimum qualification: BA in Corporate Communications, PR, Marketing, or equivalent.
- Work experience: At least 3 years in PR, events, social media, or media liaison.
- Team management experience is a plus.
- Must have a driver’s license and your own vehicle.
Working Hours & Compensation
- Monday–Friday, 09:00–14:00.
- Competitive salary, aligned with experience.
- Preference given to historically disadvantaged applicants per Employment Equity legislation.
