Key Responsibilities

As a Graduate Trainee at Colgate-Palmolive, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Talent Requisition Support:
    • Assist in the Talent Acquisition process, helping to identify and recruit top candidates for various roles across the organization.
  2. Employee Relations Communication:
    • Prepare internal documentation related to employee relations and communications, ensuring that information is clear and accurate.
  3. Onboarding Coordination:
    • Manage and coordinate the onboarding program to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  4. Career Development Support:
    • Assist in the execution of Colgate’s career development initiatives, ensuring employees have the resources and support they need to grow within the company.
  5. SOX Audit Assistance:
    • Aid with preparations for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) audits, ensuring that all compliance requirements are met.
  6. BBBEE Certification Preparation:
    • Support the BBBEE (Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment) annual certification process, assisting with documentation and compliance.
  7. Learning and Development:
    • Support the HR team in executing the annual learning and development calendar, helping organize training sessions and manage training administration.
  8. Learnership Program Management:
    • Assist in the effective running of Colgate’s learnership program, coordinating activities and ensuring smooth operations.
  9. Compensation and Benefits Administration:
    • Provide support to the Compensation and Benefits team with various administrative tasks, ensuring that records are accurate and up-to-date.
  10. Employee Engagement:
    • Lead employee engagement activities, working with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) on culture-related initiatives to ensure a positive work environment.
  11. HR Reporting and Metrics:
    • Review and develop HR reports and metrics to align with the business’s needs, ensuring data is accurate and insightful.
  12. Graduate Program Management:
    • Support the management and execution of Colgate’s Graduate Program, helping to coordinate activities that contribute to the development of young talent.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A B.Com Degree (Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Law, or a related field).
  • A Honours Degree is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong project management and collaboration skills.
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Prior experience in HR or a related field is a plus but not mandatory.
