This is a paid internship that allows you to work with some of South Africa’s top retail brands, including Checkers, Shoprite, and Checkers Sixty60. You will assist in managing campaigns, setting up dynamic ads, monitoring live campaigns, and using insights and analytics to optimize future efforts.
Key Responsibilities of the Digital Campaign Trainee
1. Campaign Management and Execution
- Learn the basics of campaign management across platforms such as Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, Google Analytics, and Google Ad Manager.
- Support the execution of retail media campaigns for suppliers on Checkers Sixty60.
- Assist in managing product feeds and learn to execute dynamic advertising.
2. Data and Analytics
- Assist with reporting, utilizing tools like Looker Studio to create dashboards and visual reports.
- Learn how to use sales-rich data to optimize live campaigns, focusing on improving ad delivery based on specific objectives.
3. Internal and External Relationships
- Build and maintain relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful campaign delivery.
- Ensure all campaign invoices are accurate and that budgets are adhered to.
4. Campaign Optimization
- Monitor live campaigns and understand the criteria needed for optimization based on performance and objectives.
- Conduct research and gather insights to continually improve future campaigns.
5. General Administration and Support
- Help in organizing campaign schedules and timelines to ensure smooth execution of all tasks.
