Main Responsibilities

As an In-service Trainee in the Quality department at Unilever, you will be tasked with several key responsibilities that align with the company’s commitment to quality and safety:

1. Complete all learnership requirements:
   You will be expected to complete all the learnership requirements stipulated by Unilever. This includes attending training sessions, completing assessments, finishing projects, submitting a logbook, and making presentations as necessary.
2. General Manufacturing Line Operations:
   Your role will involve assisting with manufacturing line operations. This could include activities such as packing, cleaning, conducting quality checks, and ensuring that processes run smoothly.
3. Follow SOP Procedures:
   You will be required to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in the operations assigned to you. Adherence to these procedures is crucial to maintaining safety, efficiency, and product quality in the factory.
4. Conform to Safety and Quality Regulations:
   Ensuring the safety of yourself and others on-site is essential. You will need to follow site rules governing safety and quality and adhere to the company’s code of business principles, which is at the heart of Unilever’s operations.

Key Requirements

Unilever seeks a motivated individual who meets the following requirements:

• Grade 12:
  A minimum of a Grade 12 qualification is required, with a pass mark of 50% in Core Mathematics and Physical Science. These subjects are fundamental to understanding the technical aspects of quality control.
• National Diploma:
  You must be completing a National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or Food Technology, and you must require P1/P2 work experience to fulfill your qualification.
• Familiarity with Laboratory Procedures:
  Experience or knowledge of laboratory environments, procedures, and practices is highly beneficial for the role. Familiarity with laboratory settings will help you adapt quickly to the tasks at hand.
• Computer Literacy:
