Available In-Service Trainee Positions

1. Quality In-Service Trainee – Rosslyn (Akasia, Gauteng)

  • Location: Akasia, Gauteng
  • Business Unit: National Brands Rosslyn Snacks
  • Division: National Brands Limited
  • Duration: 12-month contract
  • Closing Date: 31 August 2025

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exposure to food safety and quality management systems
  • Assistance with incoming laboratory samples and in-process quality control
  • Participation in new product development (NPD) project trials
  • Reporting and analysing quality data
  • Supporting the quality team in maintaining high production standards

Requirements:

  • A 2-year Food Technology Diploma (completion of 1-year in-service training required)
  • Computer literacy (ability to manage data reporting and analysis)
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team

2. Quality In-Service Trainee – Pinetown (KwaZulu-Natal)

  • Location: Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal
  • Business Unit: National Brands Westmead Biscuits
  • Division: National Brands Limited
  • Duration: 12-month contract
  • Closing Date: 31 August 2025

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exposure to food safety and quality systems in biscuit production
  • Learning to monitor and analyse quality data
  • Supporting the team in implementing and maintaining safety and quality procedures
  • Participating in product testing, quality audits, and process improvements

Requirements:

  • A background in food technology or a similar field
  • Computer literacy (especially in Microsoft Office tools)
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to work irregular hours and independently

3. SHE In-Service Trainee – Pinetown (KwaZulu-Natal)

  • Location: Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal
  • Business Unit: National Brands Westmead Biscuits
  • Division: National Brands Limited
  • Duration: 12-month contract
  • Closing Date: 31 August 2025

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the review and update of safety policies and procedures
  • Supporting the promotion of safety awareness within the factory
  • Participating in audits, inspections, and risk assessments
  • Collaborating with various departments to ensure safety compliance
  • Representing employee safety concerns and promoting a proactive safety culture

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 Senior Certificate (Matric)
  • National Diploma or Degree in Safety Management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
