Available CoGHSTA Positions

1. Chief Director: Human Settlements Programmes and Project Management
- Salary: R1,494,900 per annum (Level 14)
- Centre: Region A
- Qualifications & Experience: An undergraduate qualification in Built Environment, Project Management, or Town and Regional Planning (NQF Level 7) and at least 5 years of experience at a senior managerial level.
- Key Responsibilities: Oversee human settlements and housing programs including rural housing, emergency housing, and social housing. Manage financial, human, and physical resources in compliance with relevant legislative frameworks.
2. Director: Community Development Programme
- Salary: R1,266,714 per annum (Level 13)
- Centre: Polokwane
- Qualifications & Experience: A degree in Public Administration, Development Studies, or Community Development (NQF Level 7), with at least 5 years of experience at a managerial level.
- Key Responsibilities: Oversee community development programs, facilitate the marketing of work done by Community Development Workers, and ensure community engagement in government programs.
3. Director: Strategic Planning, Research, Monitoring & Evaluation
- Salary: R1,266,714 per annum (Level 13)
- Centre: Polokwane
- Qualifications & Experience: A degree in Strategic Management, Public Administration, or a similar field (NQF 7), with a post-graduate qualification (NQF Level 8) being an added advantage. At least 5 years of experience in strategic planning, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategic and performance plans, lead research and policy management, and coordinate monitoring and evaluation efforts for departmental plans.
4. Director: Risk, Anti-Fraud & Corruption Management
- Salary: R1,266,714 per annum (Level 13)
- Centre: Polokwane
- Qualifications & Experience: A degree in Risk Management or Internal Auditing (NQF Level 7) with at least 5 years of experience in risk management and corporate governance.
- Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement anti-fraud and corruption strategies, monitor and coordinate risk management practices, and ensure compliance with public service regulations.
5. Deputy Director: Local Economic Development
- Salary: R1,059,105 per annum (Level 12)
- Centre: Mopani
- Qualifications & Experience: A degree in Developmental Studies, Economics, or a related field (NQF Level 6) with at least 5 years of experience, including 3 years at a supervisory level.
- Key Responsibilities: Coordinate local economic development (LED) strategies, facilitate partnerships with stakeholders, and oversee the implementation of small town revitalization programs.
Key Requirements Across All Positions
While each role comes with its own specific qualifications and responsibilities, common requirements across these positions include:
- Relevant Qualifications: A degree or diploma in a relevant field, with higher qualifications being an added advantage.
- Experience: Most positions require at least 5 years of relevant experience in a managerial or specialist role.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is required, except for persons with disabilities.
- Legislative Knowledge: Understanding of relevant legislative frameworks such as the Public Service Act, PFMA, and Housing Act.
- Core Competencies: Applicants should demonstrate strong skills in project management, leadership, strategic planning, financial management, and stakeholder engagement.
