Clinix Health Group (Pty) Ltd is excited to announce two new job opportunities for Motorbike Drivers at their Tshepo-Themba Private Hospital in Dobsonville, Soweto, and Dr SK Matseke Private Hospital in Soweto. This permanent position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about providing safe and efficient patient transportation while adhering to the highest standards of care and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transporting Patients: Safely deliver patients to their respective destinations, ensuring they are transported in a comfortable and secure manner.
  • Pre-Trip Inspections: Conduct daily inspections of the motorbike to ensure it meets all safety and regulatory requirements as stipulated by the National Road and Traffic Act.
  • Maintenance Reporting: Report any maintenance issues to the Fleet Manager to ensure all vehicles are roadworthy at all times.
  • Logbook Maintenance: Maintain accurate daily logs and inspection sheets, documenting all vehicle activities.
  • Resource Delivery: Occasionally transport additional resources and employees as needed.
  • Time Management: Prioritize requests to optimise both time and fuel efficiency during trips.
  • Vehicle Security: Ensure all vehicles are securely parked in company facilities, with proper precautions like locking the vehicle and storing keys in a safe place.
  • Fuel Management: Ensure vehicles are filled with fuel before weekends and public holidays.
  • Equipment Checks: Regularly verify that all relevant equipment is functioning as required for safe operations.
  • Continuous Education: Engage in ongoing training to improve clinical knowledge and operational skills.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Grade 12 or Equivalent: A completed Grade 12 or similar level of education is required.
  • Valid Driver’s License: A Code 10 driver’s license with a valid Public Driver’s Permit (PDP) is essential.
  • Motorbike License: A motorbike license with a minimum of 3 years’ delivery experience.
  • Clean Driving Record: No infringements on the driver’s license/permit will be accepted.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a driver in a professional setting.

Skills and Competencies

  • Attention to Detail: The ability to perform accurate pre-trip checks and maintain detailed records.
  • Time Management: Strong organisational skills to prioritise tasks and optimise delivery times.
  • Communication: Clear and effective communication skills are essential when interacting with patients, hospital staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Customer Care: Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient comfort and safety.
  • Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of road safety and health regulations governing patient transport.
