Expenses Covered by the Gert-Johan Coetzee Bursary
The Gert-Johan Coetzee Bursary will cover the following expenses:
- Full tuition fees for 3 years, valued at R195,120.
- A laptop, sponsored by Gert-Johan Coetzee.
- A Bernina sewing machine valued at R14,000.
However, it is important to note that the bursary will not cover personal stationery, a personal laptop, accommodation, or meals. These expenses will be the responsibility of the student.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Gert-Johan Coetzee Bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- South African citizenship.
- Must be 18 years or older by the time of application.
- Must be currently in Matric or have completed Matric with a Diploma exemption or equivalent.
- Intend on studying full-time towards a 3-year Fashion Design course at NWSD in Klerksdorp, starting in February 2026.
- Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) is required.
- Willing to commit to 3 years of full-time study.
