Blueion Support Services, a leading provider of global support services, is looking to expand its team with a skilled and passionate IT Infrastructure Support Engineer. This dynamic role requires a proactive individual with a deep understanding of IT infrastructure and a knack for troubleshooting across a variety of environments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining Windows desktop and server environments, ensuring optimal system uptime, and supporting IT security measures for local and remote offices.

Key Responsibilities

The IT Infrastructure Support Engineer will be involved in the following tasks:

  • Support: Provide 1st and 2nd line support for Windows desktop environments across local and remote offices.
  • Server & Cloud Management: Configure and support Windows Server environments, both onsite and cloud-based.
  • Microsoft 365: Manage and support Microsoft 365 platforms, including Azure, Intune, Teams, and other collaboration tools.
  • Networking & Security: Configure and manage networking switches, VOIP systems, and CCTV/access control systems across various offices.
  • Procurement & Setup: Oversee the procurement of desktops, laptops, and IT equipment and handle their setup and configuration.
  • Disaster Recovery & Backup Systems: Configure disaster recovery systems to ensure business continuity in case of any system failures.
  • Monitoring & Ticket Management: Ensure that all support tickets are adhered to within SLAs, regularly follow up on pending issues, and escalate when necessary.
  • Training: Conduct IT training sessions for new staff members to ensure seamless integration into the IT environment.
  • System Optimization: Regularly review IT processes, update documentation, and ensure system checks are done for optimal performance.
  • Internet & Expense Management: Monitor internet links at all offices, ensure their optimal performance, and perform monthly reconciliations of IT expenses.

Skills and Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Educational Qualification: A 3-year IT degree.
  • Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certifications are advantageous.
  • Experience:
    • 3–5 years of experience in configuring and supporting Windows Desktop and Server environments, Microsoft 365 environments (including Azure, Intune, Teams), networking switches, and cloud technologies.
    • Experience in liaising with suppliers and ISPs.
    • Previous exposure to disaster recovery systems and mailing collaboration systems.
  • Additional Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Good communication skills, both written and spoken.
    • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
    • Reliable transport and willingness to work overtime or after hours when required.
