This position is designed to provide invaluable experience and exposure to Faurecia’s robust maintenance practices while contributing to the operational performance of their facility. The Maintenance Graduate will work alongside experienced artisans and technicians, gaining insights into equipment reliability, system efficiency, and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Support
- Assist with root cause analysis of recurring breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
- Keep maintenance documentation accurate and up to date.
- Perform data checks and generate maintenance reports.
- Track and escalate maintenance issues to ensure timely resolution.
2. Learning & Development
- Job shadow artisans and technicians during planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
- Participate in small-scale maintenance projects, including equipment upgrades and energy-saving initiatives.
- Gain exposure to process improvement tools by assisting in maintenance-related FMEAs (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and process flow diagrams.
3. Reporting & Administration
- Accurately capture downtime events and contribute to weekly and daily reporting.
- Support Operational Equipment Efficiency (OEE) tracking by gathering and validating maintenance data.
4. Continuous Improvement
- Take ownership of specific areas, ensuring the effective management of maintenance records.
- Lead or support Kaizen and 5S activities to improve safety, organization, and efficiency within the plant.
- Monitor equipment performance and propose small improvements to enhance process reliability and efficiency.
5. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Follow and promote all HSE standards to ensure a safe working environment during maintenance activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Educational Requirements: A National Diploma (or equivalent) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Technical Skills: Experience with computer systems is required.
- Other Skills: Valid driver’s license, excellent teamwork abilities, and fluency in English (both written and verbal).
