Job Purpose
The Sales Learner will support the sales team by assisting with various aspects of the sales process, including lead generation, client engagement, market research, data management, and administrative support. As part of the SafetySA Sales Learnership Programme, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of sales campaigns and will contribute to the operational efficiency of the team through effective use of technology.
Key Responsibilities
As a Sales Learner, you will have the opportunity to:
- Lead Generation & Client Engagement: Assist with cold calling, scheduling client meetings, and following up on leads to help drive business development.
- Market Research: Conduct online research to gather insights about clients, competitors, and industry trends, helping inform strategic decisions.
- Data Management: Accurately update client and sales information in CRM systems and Excel, ensuring that records are organized and up-to-date.
- Administrative Support: Prepare reports, presentations, and professional emails, and assist with general administrative tasks to keep the sales team on track.
- Campaign Support: Contribute to planning, tracking, and reporting on sales campaigns, ensuring that all activities are carried out efficiently.
- Technology Utilization: Use AI-based platforms and office software to enhance task management and improve operational workflows.
This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility to work both remotely and in the office.
Job Requirements
To qualify for the SafetySA Sales Learnership Programme, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Education:
- Recent graduate with a National Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Accounting, Finance, or Engineering.
Experience:
- Previous experience in Contact Centre, Sales, or Sales Administration will be advantageous but is not a requirement.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, essential for effective client interactions and professional correspondence.
- Good organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Comfort with using digital tools, including AI-based platforms and office software like Excel and CRM systems.
- Ability to work well within a team while also managing independent tasks.
- Basic understanding of sales processes, or a willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with online research techniques to gather relevant market information.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and administrative tasks.
