A. Administration Officer – Telecommunication Services (SL 07)

  • Salary: R 325 101 – R 382 959 per annum
  • Requirements:
    • Three‑year Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Financial Information Systems, Public Management, or Administration (NQF Level 6/7, SAQA-recognized)
    • 2–3 years’ experience in accounts, financial management services, customer service, and service desk operations within telecommunication services in the public sector
    • Valid driver’s license
  • Key Knowledge & Skills:
    • Telecommunication policies and legislation
    • Government IT acts and frameworks, including Public Service Regulations, Labour Relations Act, Batho Pele principles, Promotion of Access to Information, Occupational Health & Safety, and more
    • Communication skills (verbal & written), computer literacy, analytical thinking, conflict management, contract management, planning, organizing, time management, and presentation skills
  • Key Duties:
    • Manage daily accounts and financial services for Telecommunication Services
    • Oversee contract management, billing reports, and reconciliation
    • Provide customer support, incident management, and supervise staff

B. Administration Clerk – Telecommunication Services (SL 05)

  • Salary: R 216 417 – R 254 928 per annum
  • Requirements:
    • Minimum Grade 12 (Matric)
    • Exposure to telecommunications services is advantageous
  • Key Knowledge & Skills:
    • Public Service regulations (PFMA, National & Provincial Treasury Regulations)
    • Public Service Act, Labour Relations Act, Constitution, Batho Pele, Promotion of Access to Information, Occupational Health & Safety, and related frameworks
    • Good communication, computer literacy, planning, organizing, conflict management, professionalism, honesty, punctuality, and integrity
  • Key Duties:
    • Render clerical support to Telecommunication Services
    • Create and manage databases
    • Maintain filing systems
    • Handle queries about lost or stolen electronic devices and oversee damaged device repairs

  • The Administration Clerk post is open only to residents of KwaZulu‑Natal.

  7. For SMS positions, candidates must produce a Pre‑entry certificate from the National School of Government’s Senior Management Pre‑Entry Programme.
