Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Clean, dust, and mop floors using the correct equipment and supplies.
- Vacuum and shampoo carpets, ensuring they dry before business hours.
- Wipe down desks, chairs, walls, doors, and wall hangings.
- Empty bins, ashtrays, and dispose of waste safely.
- Clean windows and ensure streak-free drying.
- Maintain kitchen facilities and ensure crockery is properly stored.
- Sanitise restrooms and replenish supplies (soap, towels, toilet paper).
- Check cleaning chemicals and inventory, reporting any shortages.
- Remove trash and waste in line with hygiene standards.
- Set up tea stations and maintain dishwasher equipment daily.
- Report maintenance issues and anomalies promptly.
- Follow health, safety, hygiene, and environmental regulations.
- Provide warm, professional interactions with clients and staff.
- Handle complaints or requests, escalating when necessary.
Education and Experience
- Education: Grade 12 preferred. Grade 10 with at least 2 years’ cleaning experience will be considered.
- Experience: Previous exposure to an office, retail, or facilities environment is advantageous.
Skills and Knowledge
