Primedia is currently seeking a highly skilled and creative Copywriter to join their dynamic team in Sandton. This exciting role offers the opportunity to conceptualise and script engaging content across various Primedia Broadcasting platforms, including radio stations, digital platforms, and social media.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for creative storytelling, a sharp ear for radio, and a flair for developing innovative scripts that resonate with diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities
As a Copywriter at Primedia, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Conceptualisation and Scripting: Developing and writing creative content for live, recorded, and digital platforms. This includes station imaging, brand positioning, and promotional scripts.
- Collaborating with Teams: Working closely with sound engineers, videographers, online producers, and designers to produce high-quality promos, commercials, and social media content.
- Script Development: Creating engaging and accurate scripts that align with the brand’s voice across multiple platforms, including radio, print, and digital.
- Partnering with Stakeholders: Understanding client objectives and incorporating feedback to produce work that meets the highest standards.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Matric qualification is required. A Copywriting degree or diploma is highly preferred, but not essential.
- Experience: Over 5 years of copywriting experience is a must. Candidates with traditional media or ad agency experience will be prioritised, while experience in film production is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Strong computer literacy, excellent command of English (grammar, spelling, punctuation), and a creative flair for writing across different media.
- Social Media Fluency: Knowledge of social media and digital writing best practices is an advantage.
Additional Requirements
- Travel: Occasional travel may be required for the role.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is necessary.
- Personal Attributes: Attention to detail, the ability to meet tight deadlines, and a proactive approach to idea generation. The role also demands strong communication skills, resilience under pressure, and a team-oriented attitude.
