Prescient Investment Management, South Africa’s leading systematic investment manager, is seeking a Graphic Designer and Content Creator to strengthen its dynamic Marketing team. Based in Cape Town, this opportunity is offered as a six-month contract with the option to become permanent.

Purpose of the Graphic Designer and Content Creator Role
The successful candidate will be a creative and digitally savvy professional who thrives in a collaborative environment where strategy meets design. This role involves transforming complex investment concepts into simple, visually engaging content that resonates with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Content and Campaigns
- Design static and animated visuals for LinkedIn and YouTube.
- Create branded templates to ensure consistent visual identity.
- Develop campaign visuals for product promotions, webinars, and thought leadership pieces.
- Collaborate with content specialists to translate financial topics into accessible graphics.
- Source and edit imagery, icons, and illustrations.
Publications for Clients and Investors
- Layout design for brochures, reports, and thought leadership documents.
- Apply consistent branding and design across all publications.
- Incorporate data visualisation, including charts, graphs, and infographics.
- Prepare files for digital distribution and print.
Presentations and Pitch Decks
- Create professional, visually compelling slide decks.
- Use layout, icons, and typography to enhance storytelling.
- Introduce animations and transitions where relevant to strengthen messaging.
Multimedia and Digital Design
- Edit short-form videos for campaigns and internal use.
- Develop motion graphics and GIFs for social media.
- Design digital layouts for newsletters, landing pages, and digital advertising.
Skills and Experience
Prescient is looking for a candidate with at least two years of design and content creation experience and a strong portfolio that demonstrates ability across social, digital, and print.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
- Strong presentation design skills, particularly in PowerPoint.
- High attention to detail and visual storytelling ability.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines independently.
Advantageous Skills
- Motion design and video editing.
- Experience in financial services or corporate branding.
- Knowledge of data visualisation and infographics.
- Familiarity with UX/UI or web design.
Qualifications
- National Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design (or related qualification).
Competencies
