Majuba TVET College is calling on suitably qualified, reliable, and self-driven professionals to apply for driver positions on a one-year fixed-term College Council contract. The roles are open across different licence categories and offer competitive remuneration within the Public Service framework.
Available Positions
1. Driver – Code 08 (Salary Level 4)
- Salary: R193,359.00 per annum, plus applicable benefits
- Reference: DRV08/2025
- Number of posts: 1
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent
- Valid Code 08 driver’s licence with PDP
- 2–3 years of relevant driving experience
Key Duties
- Transport students, staff, equipment, and materials
- Drive light and heavy motor vehicles to deliver passengers, mail, and goods
- Perform routine inspections and report vehicle defects
- Maintain vehicle records, logbooks, and trip authorisations
- Provide clerical or messenger support where required
2. Driver – Code 10 (Salary Level 4)
- Salary: R193,359.00 per annum, plus applicable benefits
- Reference: DRV10/2025
- Number of posts: 2
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent
- Valid Code 10 driver’s licence with PDP
- 2–3 years of relevant driving experience
Key Duties
- Operate medium/heavy vehicles for student, staff, and material transport
- Deliver mail and official documents
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and minor repairs such as tyre changes
- Keep accurate logbooks and vehicle records
- Provide administrative and messenger support
3. Driver – Code 14 (Salary Level 4)
- Salary: R193,359.00 per annum, plus applicable benefits
- Reference: DRV14/2025
- Number of posts: 3
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent
- Valid Code 14 driver’s licence with PDP
- 2–3 years of relevant driving experience
Key Duties
- Transport students, staff, and large equipment using heavy vehicles
- Conduct minor repairs and routine checks on vehicles
- Deliver documents and materials
- Maintain official logbooks and reports
- Provide registry and messenger services when necessary
Additional Notes
Successful applicants may be required to:
- Work after hours, weekends, or public holidays
- Assist with clerical duties such as photocopying, filing, and registry support
- Uphold safety and compliance standards at all times
