Driver Job Vacancies at Majuba TVET College

Majuba TVET College is calling on suitably qualified, reliable, and self-driven professionals to apply for driver positions on a one-year fixed-term College Council contract. The roles are open across different licence categories and offer competitive remuneration within the Public Service framework.

Available Positions

1. Driver – Code 08 (Salary Level 4)

  • Salary: R193,359.00 per annum, plus applicable benefits
  • Reference: DRV08/2025
  • Number of posts: 1

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent
  • Valid Code 08 driver’s licence with PDP
  • 2–3 years of relevant driving experience

Key Duties

  • Transport students, staff, equipment, and materials
  • Drive light and heavy motor vehicles to deliver passengers, mail, and goods
  • Perform routine inspections and report vehicle defects
  • Maintain vehicle records, logbooks, and trip authorisations
  • Provide clerical or messenger support where required

2. Driver – Code 10 (Salary Level 4)

  • Salary: R193,359.00 per annum, plus applicable benefits
  • Reference: DRV10/2025
  • Number of posts: 2

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent
  • Valid Code 10 driver’s licence with PDP
  • 2–3 years of relevant driving experience

Key Duties

  • Operate medium/heavy vehicles for student, staff, and material transport
  • Deliver mail and official documents
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks and minor repairs such as tyre changes
  • Keep accurate logbooks and vehicle records
  • Provide administrative and messenger support

3. Driver – Code 14 (Salary Level 4)

  • Salary: R193,359.00 per annum, plus applicable benefits
  • Reference: DRV14/2025
  • Number of posts: 3

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent
  • Valid Code 14 driver’s licence with PDP
  • 2–3 years of relevant driving experience

Key Duties

  • Transport students, staff, and large equipment using heavy vehicles
  • Conduct minor repairs and routine checks on vehicles
  • Deliver documents and materials
  • Maintain official logbooks and reports
  • Provide registry and messenger services when necessary

Additional Notes

Successful applicants may be required to:

  • Work after hours, weekends, or public holidays
  • Assist with clerical duties such as photocopying, filing, and registry support
  • Uphold safety and compliance standards at all times
