Minimum requirements
Financial Interns
- Grade 12
- National Diploma in Financial Management or an equivalent qualification
HR Intern
- Grade 12
- National Diploma in Human Resource Management or an equivalent qualification
Preference will be given to unemployed graduates who reside within the municipal boundaries.
Key responsibilities
Financial Interns
- Assist the CFO with budget preparation and annual financial statements
- Support the implementation of the MFMA, GRAP, and related financial reforms
- Help manage and monitor capital and operational budgets
- Rotate through Budget and Treasury sections for comprehensive exposure to municipal accounting
HR Intern
- Provide support to the PMDS Unit
- Assist with recruitment and appointment processes
- Support the Skills Development Unit and provide admin assistance to Labour Relations
- Help with the packaging and distribution of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
