Minimum Requirements

To be considered for the role, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • National Diploma in Logistics Management/Supply Chain or an equivalent qualification

Key Responsibilities

As a Supply Chain Graduate at Feltex Automotive, you will be tasked with supporting and learning from various areas within the supply chain department. Your duties will include:

1. Customer Demand Management

  • Receive customer demand and verify accuracy on a weekly basis.
  • Track and understand any changes from the previous release, ensuring a smooth flow of information.

2. Supplier Management

  • Plan raw material and component requirements based on customer demand.
  • Monitor shipments to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Assist with maintaining supplier scorecards, ensuring performance standards are met.

3. Stock Handling & Stores Coordination

  • Monitor the receipt of goods and raw materials into fixed stock locations.
  • Oversee the dispatch of finished goods, ensuring accurate and timely processes.

4. Inventory Control & Issuing

  • Ensure correct stock handling practices are followed.
  • Assist with processing stock requisitions and issuing materials as required.
  • Contribute to production planning and data control efforts.

5. Stock Takes & Finished Goods Maintenance

  • Co-ordinate stock counts based on the Stock Take procedure.
  • Investigate any variances and ensure the accuracy of stock levels.
  • Maintain required finished goods stock levels and follow up on any outstanding Proof of Deliveries (PODs).

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for this role is a recent graduate with a passion for the automotive industry and a strong interest in supply chain management. A keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team are essential to succeed in this role.
