The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Valuations and will be actively involved in actuarial analyses that drive new product development, risk evaluation, and insurance product monitoring. Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this internship, applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science (required)
- Postgraduate degree in Actuarial Science (advantageous)
- Minimum of 4 CTs with good progress on actuarial exams
- Knowledge and Skills:
- Sound understanding of actuarial principles
- Strong Excel skills (essential)
- SQL skills (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Key Responsibilities
As a Graduate Intern: Actuary, your role will include:
- Supporting the integrity of data used for valuation work and actuarial investigations
- Assisting with sickness and mortality investigations, as well as surplus analysis
- Contributing to statutory, valuator, QRT, and ASISA returns
- Providing actuarial support to product development and related business functions
- Analysing PPS data to strengthen decision-making and product development
- Compiling management reports and conducting special investigations
