The Role
The primary role of the Admin Assistant Intern is to support the Training & Development Executive, Manager, and Trainers in coordinating and carrying out administrative functions related to the training and skills development programs at Beekman Group. Key Responsibilities
As an Admin Assistant Intern, your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating the Deployment of the Annual Training Plan: Ensuring that all training activities for the year are scheduled and executed according to the group’s plan.
- Fielding and Screening New Training Requests: Reviewing and managing requests for new training programs, ensuring they align with organizational goals and employee development needs.
- Training Room and Venue Management: Booking and setting up training rooms and other venues for various learning sessions, ensuring that the space is ready and organized.
- Liaising with Key Stakeholders: You will interact with suppliers, service providers, business partners, HR personnel, and SETAs (Sector Education and Training Authorities) to ensure the smooth operation of training programs.
- Coordinating CSI and Go Green Initiatives: Beekman Group takes pride in its social responsibility efforts, and as an intern, you will play a role in organizing and supporting these initiatives.
- Stakeholder Engagements and Meetings: Coordinating meetings and engagements with key stakeholders, ensuring all necessary arrangements are in place for successful interactions.
- Supporting Trainers: Assisting trainers with product, systems, technology, and engagement training, in line with the Beekman W.A.Y philosophy.
- Event Planning: Assisting in the planning and execution of events that align with Beekman Group’s values and philosophy, creating memorable learning experiences.
- Sustaining the Beekman Way: You will be involved in monitoring, reviewing, and continuously developing the “Beekman Way” for the group, ensuring the organization’s values and training goals are being achieved.
Requirements
To be considered for the Admin Assistant Internship, you must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric is essential.
- Confident & Professional Communication Skills: You will be interacting with various stakeholders, so clear, effective communication is key.
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills: You must be able to engage well with team members, trainers, and external partners.
- Critical Thinking: Strong attention to detail and accuracy is necessary when handling administrative tasks and managing training schedules.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is required for preparing reports, tracking training progress, and managing documents.
