Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Assist the Project Manager in compiling and executing technical activity plans for solar, wind, and other renewable energy systems.
- Site Visitations and Data Collection: Participate in site visits, capturing data while adhering to strict data quality control protocols.
- Energy System Specifications: Help prepare specifications for various energy technologies, including Solar PV, Wind turbines, and Hydro systems.
- Purchasing and Report Management: Assist in compiling project purchases and compiling detailed technical reports for review and approval.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in sectional meetings, seminars, and workshops, ensuring you stay up-to-date with the latest in renewable energy.
- Compliance and Safety: Follow Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) procedures and ensure compliance with safety standards in the workplace.
Eligibility Requirements
This internship is ideal for recent graduates with a strong interest in renewable energy and sustainable technologies. The following qualifications and skills are required:
- A relevant BSc Honours in Energy Studies or a related qualification (with the intention of pursuing further studies, such as a master’s or doctoral degree).
- A genuine passion for renewable energy and sustainable technologies.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential to succeed in this dynamic environment.
- A valid driver’s license will be an added advantage, but is not mandatory.
