AfriSam’s Boilermaker Learnership Program is an 18.2 Learnership agreement, offering a structured pathway for unemployed youth to develop hands-on skills and knowledge in the field of boilermaking. The successful candidate will gain practical experience under the guidance of industry professionals, while simultaneously studying for the necessary theoretical qualifications.
The learnership will require the participant to sign an agreement that will also be registered with the Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA). This is a fantastic chance to begin a career in a well-established company while earning and learning simultaneously.
Requirements
To be eligible for the Boilermaker Learnership Program, applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Educational Requirements:
- Grade 12 with Pure Mathematics, Physical Science, and English as passed subjects.
- N2 Certificate in Boilermaking, including the following required subjects: Mathematics, Engineering Science, and two additional relevant subjects.
- Relevant Engineering NCV Certificates (National Certificate Vocational) with seven subjects at NQF level 4.
- Technical Grade 11 (Maths, Science, and Language, along with relevant trade theory subjects).
- N6 Certificate or National Technical Diploma in a relevant trade (T, S, or N stream).
- Desirable Skills:
- A valid driver’s license will be advantageous.

- A strong passion for the technical and engineering field.
