The National Agricultural Marketing Council (NAMC) is inviting applications for a Cleaner position based in Pretoria. This is a 3-year fixed contract role, reporting directly to the Human Capital Practitioner. The role requires a reliable and professional individual who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 qualification
- At least one year’s experience in a cleaning environment
Knowledge and Skills
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Strong time management and organising skills
- Attention to detail and consistency in task execution
- Professionalism, confidentiality, and reliability
- Good customer service orientation and friendliness
- Knowledge of safe cleaning practices
- Ability to read and follow instructions effectively
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Daily Activities
- Empty refuse bins in kitchens and offices where necessary
- Wipe and sweep around tables and seating areas
- Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, and dishes in the kitchen
- Serve tea for managers, visitors, and during meetings
- Prepare boardrooms and assist with catering for meetings and events
Weekly Activities
- Vacuum all office floors
- Wash glass doors, mirrors, and dust wall pictures
- Dust hard surfaces and clean inside/outside cupboards, fridges, and microwave ovens
- Remove unwanted items from fridges
- Water and dust plants, clean water coolers, and maintain equipment
- Organise furniture and clean telephones, keyboards, and computer screens
Monthly Activities
- Spot clean carpets and wash walls where required
- Monitor cleaning chemicals and ensure safe use
- Clean empty offices before new employees move in
- Wash and polish the grocery store and safe
- Assist with monthly grocery shopping and office supplies
