Available Commission for Gender Equality Internship Opportunities

1. INTERN: COMMUNICATIONS

  • Duration: 24 Months
  • Stipend: R6,500.00 p.m.
  • Location: CGE Head Office, Braamfontein, Johannesburg

Position Overview:
As an intern in the Communications department, you will have the chance to develop and refine your skills in journalism, communications, and public relations. Interns will be placed at the CGE Head office in Braamfontein, where they will be involved in various aspects of communication strategy, content creation, and editing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in writing and editing content for various CGE publications.
  • Support in managing and updating the CGE website and social media platforms.
  • Contribute to the creation of press releases, newsletters, and reports.
  • Provide assistance in organizing and promoting events.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) in Journalism or Communications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and editing tools.
  • Applicants must be between 18 to 35 years old and must be South African citizens.
  • Gauteng residents are preferred.

2. INTERN: INFORMATION COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY (ICT)

  • Duration: 24 Months
  • Stipend: R6,500.00 p.m.
  • Location: CGE Head Office, Braamfontein, Johannesburg

Position Overview:
This internship in the ICT department is perfect for those interested in technology, data systems, and IT support. Interns will work on maintaining the CGE’s information systems and providing technical assistance to improve digital infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to learn about IT management in a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing and maintaining ICT infrastructure.
  • Help in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Support the IT team in data management and system updates.
  • Provide general IT support to CGE staff.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
  • A keen interest in technology and systems management.

Position Overview:
The Supply Chain Management internship is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in logistics, finance, and procurement. Interns will gain practical experience in managing and optimizing the CGE’s supply chain processes, including procurement, vendor management, and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the procurement and logistics processes.
  • Support in managing vendor relationships and contracts.
  • Help maintain inventory and track orders.
  • Assist in financial reporting related to supply chain activities.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • An Honours Degree (NQF 8) in Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Logistics.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literacy and attention to detail.
  • Applicants must be between 18 to 35 years old and must be South African citizens.
  • Gauteng residents are preferred.
