Key Responsibilities

Campaign Coordination and Delivery

  • Implement and execute commercial campaigns according to sold packages.
  • Monitor performance and optimise campaigns to achieve objectives.
  • Provide timely reports and recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage campaign timelines, schedules, and commercial asset libraries.
  • Ensure compliance with channel policies, advertising regulations, and legislation.

Client and Sales Support

  • Act as the day-to-day contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist the sales team with proposals, media kits, and pitch decks.
  • Track inventory availability and manage bookings across platforms.
  • Provide proactive sales ideas and sponsorship opportunities.

Reporting and Analytics

  • Compile and present campaign performance reports, including CTR, impressions, engagement, and conversions.
  • Flag underperforming campaigns and suggest live optimisations.
  • Keep commercial decks up to date for sales use.

Content and Platforms

  • Deliver campaigns with 100% accuracy as per client agreements.
  • Develop at least two major sponsorship concepts per month.
  • Build seasonal calendars and adapt packages to client needs.
  • Ensure content complies with platform requirements and style guides.

Audience and Engagement

  • Analyse audience behaviour to shape campaigns.
  • Respond to client and audience enquiries promptly.
  • Identify opportunities to grow audience reach and engagement.
  • Collaborate with editorial teams to ensure campaigns are audience-led.

Stakeholder Relationships

  • Respond to client and internal queries within 24 hours.
  • Provide daily updates on campaign progress.
  • Deliver post-campaign reports within seven days.
  • Support cross-team collaboration and maintain strong working relationships.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • National Senior Certificate (Essential).
  • National Diploma in Journalism (Essential).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism (Recommended).

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years in journalism, media, or a digital newsroom.
  • At least 1 year in a supervisory role within media or digital content (Recommended).
  • Valid driver’s licence (Recommended).

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and decision-making ability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Analytics, and Google Ad Manager.
  • Experience with Google AdSense, Crown Tangle, and social media publishing tools.
  • Familiarity with audio and video editing or production.
  • Ability to manage stress, monitor results, and build strategic relationships.
