Ehlanzeni TVET College WIL Programme

Ehlanzeni TVET College is pleased to announce the launch of its Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme, aimed at helping unemployed individuals gain valuable work experience and practical skills in various fields. This initiative is made possible through a discretionary grant awarded by the Wholesale and Retail SETA (W&RSETA), designed to bridge the gap between education and employment.

WIL Programme Overview

The WIL Programme is divided into two key phases:

  1. 12-Month WIL Programme
  2. 18-Month WIL Programme

Each of these programmes provides participants with hands-on work experience in fields relevant to their studies. By combining classroom learning with real-world work experience, the College ensures that students develop skills that are highly valued by employers.

1. 12-Month WIL Programme

The 12-month WIL programme is targeted at applicants who have an NCV (National Certificate Vocational) Level qualification in Information Technology and Communication Studies. This programme is ideal for individuals who are looking to build on their theoretical knowledge and gain practical, on-the-job training in their field.

2. 18-Month WIL Programme

The 18-month WIL programme is for applicants who hold an N6 qualification in one of the following fields:

  • Business Management
  • Financial Management
  • Hospitality
  • Management Assistant

This extended programme allows participants to gain a deeper understanding of their respective fields, while also equipping them with the skills needed to excel in the workplace. The longer duration ensures that participants have ample time to refine their expertise, engage in more complex tasks, and benefit from additional exposure to the professional environment.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for each of the programmes are outlined below:

  • 12-Month WIL Programme: To apply for the 12-month programme, applicants must hold an NCV Level qualification in Information Technology and Communication Studies. These qualifications provide a solid foundation for those interested in pursuing careers in the IT and communications sectors.
