Entry-Level Video Editor/Videographer Job Responsibilities
As a Video Editor/Videographer at Cartrack, you will be responsible for creating engaging video content that aligns with the company’s brand identity. Your main duties will include:
1. Video Editing & Post-Production
- Editing raw video footage, cutting unnecessary scenes, and refining the final product.
- Adding transitions, effects, text, graphics, and sound to create polished videos.
- Ensuring high-quality production that aligns with Cartrack’s branding and messaging.
2. Videography & Content Creation
- Setting up and operating video cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.
- Assisting in planning, storyboarding, and scripting for video projects.
- Shooting engaging video content that captures the company’s vision and mission.
3. Creative Storytelling & Audience Engagement
- Connecting with people and telling impactful stories through video.
- Researching trends and identifying opportunities for creative video content.
- Captivating the target audience by producing engaging and relevant content.
4. Collaboration & Marketing Strategy
- Working closely with the marketing team to align video content with business objectives.
- Brainstorming and experimenting with different creative ideas to improve content performance.
- Implementing feedback and revising videos based on team recommendations.
5. Organization & Workflow Management
- Managing and organizing video files and equipment.
- Ensuring efficient workflow and meeting project deadlines.
- Troubleshooting technical issues related to video production and post-production.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this position, you should meet the following criteria:
Educational Background
- Grade 12 Senior Certificate (Matric required).
- A degree or diploma in Film, Media Production, Cinematography, or a related field is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Knowledge of cinematography principles, composition, and lighting techniques.
- Familiarity with modern video and photographic equipment.
- Strong understanding of video editing techniques and post-production workflows.
Soft Skills
- Ability to connect with people and build strong professional relationships.
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling.
- Strong time management skills to meet deadlines efficiently.
