CapeNature has announced an opportunity for an EPWP Administrator to join its Cape Town office in Bridgetown on a contract basis running until 31 March 2028. The position offers a daily rate of R424.36 and sits within the Finance, ICT and Shared Services division.
This entry-level role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional eager to gain experience in financial administration, ICT coordination, and general office support within one of South Africa’s leading environmental organisations.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will assist the Team Leader: Office of the CFO and play a vital role in ensuring smooth administrative operations. Key duties include:
- Supporting the Finance Service Desk by monitoring and processing requests
- Coordinating responses for internal and external audits
- Ensuring timely submission of reports to stakeholders
- Conducting daily ICT health checks and maintaining digital records
- Compiling documentation for committee meetings and updating registers
- Creating purchase requisitions and attending to stakeholder queries
- Monitoring project tasks and deadlines using project-management tools
- Performing financial reconciliations as required
- Assisting with ICT, Finance, and ad-hoc administrative tasks
- Arranging meetings and recording accurate minutes
- Providing support to finance transactions and reporting teams
Minimum Requirements
To be considered, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- A Grade 12 certificate (Matric)
- A positive attitude with a strong sense of initiative
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email)
- Strong administrative, financial, and communication abilities
- Good interpersonal, writing, and presentation skills
- Ability to speak at least two of the Western Cape’s official languages
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team
- A valid Code 8 driver’s licence
- Willingness to travel when necessary
Recommendations
Applicants with the following will be at an advantage:
- Accountancy or Mathematics as a matric subject
- Background in External/Internal Audit, Finance, or ICT
- At least one year’s practical experience in these areas
