Minimum Requirements
To be considered, you need to meet all the following:
- South African citizen
- Matric / Grade 12
- NQF Level 6 (National Diploma) in one of these (or equivalent): Office Administration, Secretarial, Public Management, Office Management, Management Assistant
- Computer literacy certificate or National Diploma (must be able to use MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Age: 18–35 years
- Must be unemployed (or never employed before) and have not participated in any EPWP programme before
- Language: Able to read and write in English
- Residence: Preference for people living within Nkangala District Municipality

Duties of an EPWP Data Capturer
As an EPWP Data Capturer, your main job is to help report and record work opportunities created by EPWP. Your duties will include:
- Coordinate EPWP project reporting across all four EPWP sectors (Environment & Culture, Infrastructure, Non-State, Social).
- Operate the EPWP reporting (ER) system of the National Department of Public Works & Infrastructure to capture jobs and work opportunities online.
- File and maintain documents for pre-audit and audit purposes.
- Verify data (completeness and consistency) with the Assistant Manager: LED and the EPWP Champion.
- Generate reports for the EPWP Champion and management.
- Update all registered EPWP projects monthly for Council reporting and to improve FTEs (Full-Time Equivalents) performance.
- Make sure every work opportunity created by Council is reported on the EPWP system.
- Compile progress reports and submit accurate monthly/quarterly returns on time.
- Register EPWP employees on the system, process contracts and stipend payment schedules; keep financial records for all stipends paid
