For 2025, Eskom has opened applications for both the University Bursary Programme and the University of Technology Bursary Programme—although both are currently listed as on hold.

- Must not be holding another bursary or be registered at any tertiary institution.
Academic Performance Requirements
- English: Level 4
- Pure Mathematics: Level 5
- Physical Science: Level 5
Eskom also notes that Grade 11 year-end results meeting the above standards will be considered, but the final decision will depend on the 2025 Matric results.
