FEM YES Internship Programme

The Federated Employers Mutual Assurance Company (FEM) is inviting applications for its YES Internship Programme 2025. This initiative aims to empower young South Africans by providing 12 months of valuable workplace experience across various departments.

The FEM YES Internships are part of a national effort to reduce youth unemployment and help participants gain the skills and confidence needed to secure long-term employment. Successful candidates will be placed in departments that match their qualifications and interests.

1. YES Intern – Claims

If you have an eye for detail and enjoy administrative work, FEM’s Claims Internship offers an excellent start.
Preference: Candidates with an Administration qualification.
Requirements:

  • South African citizen
  • Matric certificate
  • Unemployed, aged 18–35
  • From a designated group

2. YES Intern – Health and Safety

Passionate about workplace safety and compliance? The Health and Safety Internship provides exposure to practical safety management.
Preference: Candidates with a Safety Management qualification.
Requirements:

3. YES Intern – Human Resources (HR)

The HR Internship is ideal for graduates interested in people management and organisational development.

4. YES Intern – Information Technology (IT)

5. YES Intern – Marketing

The Marketing Internship is perfect for creative thinkers who want to explore branding, campaigns, and corporate communications.

6. YES Intern – Pensions

If you’re interested in financial administration, the Pensions Internship offers exposure to pension fund operations.
Preference: Candidates with an Administration qualification.

7. YES Intern – Product Development

The Product Development Internship provides experience in planning and managing new financial products and services.
Preference: Candidates with qualifications in Project Management, BCom, Insurance, or Business Management.
Requirements:

  • Unemployed, aged 18–35

8. YES Intern – Rehab

The Rehab Internship focuses on administrative support within FEM’s rehabilitation services.
Preference: Candidates with an Administration qualification.
Requirements:

  • Unemployed, aged 18–35

9. YES Intern – Risk and Compliance

Gain exposure to corporate governance and risk management through the Risk and Compliance Internship.
Preference: Candidates with qualifications in BCom (Law), LLB, BCom, or Risk Management.
Requirements:

  • South African citizen
  • Matric certificate
  • Unemployed, aged 18–35
  • From a designated group

10. YES Intern – Underwriting

The Underwriting Internship is ideal for individuals interested in insurance and financial risk analysis.
Preference: Candidates with qualifications in BCom or Insurance.
Requirements:
