The Directorate of Finance (Revenue Services) is inviting applications for the position of Financial Assistant at the Polokwane Campus. Key Responsibilities
The Financial Assistant will be expected to:
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Verify that only valid bank notes, cheques, debit and credit cards, and postal orders are accepted.
- Prepare balancing schedules and ensure daily banking of receipts.
- Secure cash and equivalents during the working day.
- Handle queries related to payments.
- Support the department by performing ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Manager or Head of Department.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Academic Qualification
- A National Senior Certificate with Mathematics Literacy and Accounting, or Mathematics.
Experience
- At least two years of experience in a financial environment.
- Computer literacy is essential.
Skills and Knowledge
- Strong communication skills.
- Familiarity with ITS or other financial systems.
