Job Title: Tradesman Aid (X7 Posts)

  • Salary: R163 680 per annum
  • Centres:
    • Bloemfontein – 6 posts (Ref No: FMTE 01/08/2025)
    • Welkom – 1 post (Ref No: FMTE 02/08/2025)

Requirements:

  • Minimum of Grade 10 or equivalent (SAQA recognized).
  • At least 6 months trade-related experience.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate well.
  • Basic technical and repair knowledge.

Duties:

  • Assist mechanical artisans with repairs, maintenance, and servicing of vehicles and machinery.
  • Carry and take care of tools.
  • Prepare materials before work begins.
  • Keep workshops clean and safe.
  • Do small maintenance and repair work.
  • Help move assets from asset management to the workshop and back.

The Department of Social Development provides welfare and community services across the province. They are hiring senior management officials.

Job Title: Chief Director: Districts and Institutions

  • Salary: R1 494 900 per annum (Level 14) – All-inclusive package
  • Centre: Bloemfontein (Ref No: DSDFS 65/25)

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 7) in Social Work.
  • Registered with SACSSP (South African Council for Social Service Professions).
  • At least 5 years’ experience at senior managerial level.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and management skills.

Duties:

  • Oversee district social welfare services.
  • Coordinate service delivery with community partners.
  • Provide strategic leadership to improve welfare services.
  • Ensure proper financial and human resource management.

  • Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in Security Management/Public Administration/General Management.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in security management at middle/senior level.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of security systems, ICT security, fraud prevention and risk management.

Duties:

  • Oversee 24-hour physical security and access control at departmental premises.
  • Manage security audits, ICT security, and fraud prevention plans.
  • Handle anti-corruption investigations.
  • Train and guide staff on fraud prevention policies.
