Here’s a breakdown of the exciting positions available for 2025/2026 under the GIBB YES Programme, specifically in Cape Town and Gauteng.

1. GIBB YES Programme – Cape Town (CBD)

Positions:

  • Transportation (2 positions): Suitable for candidates with a National Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • Structures (1 position): For candidates holding a National Diploma in Civil Engineering (Structures).

Location: Cape Town, CBD
Deadline for Application: 31 August 2025
Eligibility Criteria:

  • Aged between 18 and 35
  • Unemployed and available for a 12-month contract
  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must not have been a previous YES beneficiary
  • Must be PC literate

Additional Requirements: Applicants must submit an updated CV, copies of qualifications, and ID. If selected, the successful candidates will be placed at the Cape Town office.

2. GIBB YES Programme – Gauteng (Business Admin / Project / IT / Finance or Supply Chain Management)

Position:

  • YES Learner – Group Shared Services (Business Admin/Project/IT/Finance/Supply Chain Management)

Location: Gauteng
Deadline for Application: 30 September 2025
Eligibility Criteria:

  • Grade 12 with NDiploma/Degree in Business Admin/Project/IT/Finance or Supply Chain Management
  • Aged between 18 and 35
  • Unemployed, available for a 12-month contract
  • Must be PC literate

Additional Information: The selected learners will contribute to impactful projects within GIBB’s Group Shared Services delivery unit. Candidates will be required to submit an updated CV, academic record, copies of qualifications, and an ID copy.

3. GIBB YES Programme – Gauteng (Water and Integrated Infrastructure – Civil Engineering)

Position:

  • YES Learner – Water and Integrated Infrastructure & Transportation (Civil Engineering)

Location: Gauteng
Deadline for Application: 30 September 2025
Eligibility Criteria:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent with Mathematics, Science, and English
  • BTech/BSc or BEng in Civil Engineering
  • Aged between 18 and 35
  • Unemployed and available for a 12-month contract
  • Must be PC literate

Additional Information: Applicants will be placed in GIBB’s Water and Integrated Infrastructure and Transportation delivery unit to assist in ongoing engineering projects.

4. GIBB YES Programme – Gauteng (Water and Integrated Infrastructure – Mechanical Engineering)

Position:

  • YES Learner – Water and Integrated Infrastructure & Transportation (Mechanical Engineering)

Location: Gauteng
Deadline for Application: 30 September 2025
Eligibility Criteria:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent with Mathematics, Science, and English
  • BTech/BEng in Mechanical Engineering
  • Aged between 18 and 35
  • Unemployed and available for a 12-month contract
  • PC and CAD literate (preferably AutoCAD or similar)

Additional Information: The mechanical engineering learners will work in the Water and Integrated Infrastructure and Transportation units, contributing to essential mechanical design and infrastructure projects.

5. GIBB YES Programme – Gauteng (Water and Integrated Infrastructure – Electrical Engineering)

Position:

  • YES Learner – Water and Integrated Infrastructure & Transportation (Electrical Engineering)

Location: Gauteng

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent with Mathematics, Science, and English
  • BTech/BEng in Electrical Engineering
  • Aged between 18 and 35
