IMESA Bursary Programme 2026

The Institute of Municipal Engineering of Southern Africa (IMESA) offers a valuable opportunity for students pursuing studies in Civil Engineering and related infrastructure engineering disciplines. This bursary aims to support financially deserving students who are committed to their studies and wish to excel in the engineering profession.

IMESA Bursary Programme – Fields Covered

IMESA is offering two types of bursaries for the 2026 academic year:

Bursary Coverage and Payment Terms

The IMESA bursary will cover tuition fees and required textbooks, up to a maximum of R50,000. Payment will be made directly to the student’s tertiary institution upon submission of the necessary documentation.

Bursary recipients will be assigned a mentor and are encouraged to participate in IMESA’s activities to develop practical skills and engage with the engineering community.
