Purpose of the Role
The Graduate Buyer position is an entry-level learning role created for individuals with a strong analytical mindset, a passion for technology, and advanced Excel skills. Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will support the Buying team with tasks that include:
- Analysing sales data, stock levels, and technology trends to inform buying decisions.
- Maintaining up-to-date product information, pricing, and supplier details on internal systems.
- Preparing detailed reports and dashboards in Excel to support decision-making.
- Monitoring competitor activity and identifying emerging market trends.
- Assisting with supplier negotiations, order placements, and delivery tracking.
- Collaborating with marketing, planning, and logistics teams to ensure seamless product rollouts.
- Supporting product range reviews and preparing presentations.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, pricing strategies, and quality standards.
Requirements
Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, or a related field. The role is best suited to individuals who have:
- Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
- Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data modelling).
