KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Treasury Internship Program

The KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Treasury invites unemployed graduates, especially those with disabilities, to participate in its internship program, designed to provide valuable hands-on experience across various career fields. This opportunity is geared towards empowering South African youth with practical skills to enhance their employability.

Program Duration:

  • Start Date: 1 April 2025
  • End Date: 31 March 2027
  • Contract Length: Up to 2 years, with interns required to sign a formal contract.
  • Stipend: R 89,409 per annum

Program Details:

The internship program offers structured, work-based learning that closely aligns with the intern’s chosen field, providing relevant experience and developing professional competencies. Who Can Apply?

The following eligibility requirements apply to all interested candidates:

  1. Age Requirement:
    • Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old.
  2. Residency and Qualification Location:
    • Permanent residency and the institution of study must be within KwaZulu-Natal.
  3. Employment Status:
    • Candidates should be unemployed after completing their tertiary education and will need to provide an affidavit confirming their unemployment status.
  4. Previous Internship Participation:
    • Applicants must not have participated in any previous internship program (verification will be conducted).
  5. Relocation Commitment:
    • Selected applicants must be willing to relocate to Pietermaritzburg at their own expense.
  6. Computer Literacy:
    • Basic computer literacy is required, and applicants should be prepared for a selection process, including competency assessments and structured interviews.

    • For applicants who may have misplaced certificates or ID, provide a proof of application for replacements and an affidavit explaining the loss.
