Key Responsibilities
The Millwright Apprentice will be responsible for a variety of tasks, focused on the maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment. Below are the primary duties associated with this role:
- Collaboration with Artisans: Work closely with electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation artisans to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment.

- Preventive Maintenance: Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to ensure all equipment performs at its optimal capacity.
- Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough root cause analysis to identify the underlying causes of equipment failures and propose corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Job Cards and Documentation: Ensure that job cards are completed accurately and promptly, capturing all relevant information regarding the tasks performed.
- Safety Compliance: Prioritise safety by ensuring all equipment is safe to work on before commencing repairs. Always ensure that safety equipment is functional and used appropriately during work activities.
- Adherence to Best Practices: Follow good engineering practices and comply with cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) in line with Adcock Ingram Critical Care’s requirements.
- Parts and Equipment Replacement: Assess equipment to determine which parts require replacement and decide on the scope of additional work necessary to maintain optimal performance.
- Inspection and Further Interventions: Upon conducting inspections, determine if additional interventions or activities are required to enhance equipment performance and reliability.

Requirements
