Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities for this role will include:

  1. Guest Interaction and Upselling:
    A significant aspect of the position involves interacting with customers and ensuring their needs are met. The employee will maintain up-to-date knowledge of all products offered by Ster-Kinekor, including snacks, beverages, and cinema offerings. This knowledge will enable the employee to effectively upsell products, enhancing the customer’s overall experience.
  2. Presentation and Cleanliness Standards:

  4. Store Room and Kitchen Management:
    Keeping the kitchen and storage areas tidy and organized is crucial. This includes ensuring that all equipment is clean, storerooms are well-maintained, and that stock is stored safely. The Multi-Skilled Employee will also be responsible for ensuring that all prepared products are sealed and packaged correctly.
  5. Health and Safety Compliance:
    Adhering to health and safety regulations is vital in any work environment. This role requires the employee to follow established safety protocols and submit required health and safety reports according to the company’s schedules.
  6. Uniform and Presentation Standards:
    The employee must always adhere to Ster-Kinekor’s uniform standards and ensure that their appearance is professional and presentable at all times, representing the company in a positive light.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for the Multi-Skilled Employee position, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  1. Education:
    • A minimum of a matric (Grade 12) qualification is required.
  2. Experience and Skills:
    • While prior experience in a similar role is advantageous, Ster-Kinekor is willing to consider candidates with little to no work experience (0-1 years).
    • Basic proficiency in the MS Office Suite is required, and experience with VISTA (Ster-Kinekor’s cinema management software) will be an added advantage.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as the role involves interacting with customers and colleagues.
    • Excellent administrative and organizational skills are important, as the employee will be responsible for ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
  3. Personal Skills:
    • The role requires someone with strong interpersonal skills who can interact effectively with a variety of customers.
    • Candidates should also demonstrate analytical thinking and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
