Job Details
This is a part-time coaching role, offering a fixed-term contract based on the applicant’s experience and coaching level. The coach will assist in the Athletic Development and Physical Education Programme and engage with students in both a coaching and mentoring capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend team practices for the Girls’ College Netball team.
- Participate in tournaments and festivals over weekends.
- Minimum Level 1 coaching qualification required.
- Umpire’s grading is recommended.
- Share Netball knowledge and experience with students, particularly in a school or senior-level coaching context.
Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for the position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum of 3 years’ coaching experience in Netball.
- A high level of personal Netball experience in school, university, or club environments.
- Previous leadership experience in a sporting context is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft and Google suite applications.
- A strong commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting inclusiveness and diversity within sports teams.
- A willingness to align with the school’s all-round ethos, co-curricular activities, and pastoral approach.
- Sexual offender’s clearance certificate (required before employment).
- A valid driver’s license.
