Peermont Education Trust Bursary

The Peermont’s Education Trust (PET) is inviting applications for its 2026 bursary programme. This opportunity is designed to support academically talented students in the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan area (Gauteng) who face financial barriers to higher education.

What the Bursary Covers

Successful applicants will receive comprehensive funding for:

  • Registration fees
  • Tuition fees
  • Prescribed books and study material
  • Accommodation

This bursary is renewable each year, provided the student maintains strong academic performance.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the Peermont’s Education Trust Bursary 2026, applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:

  • Be a South African citizen
  • Permanently reside within the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan area in Gauteng
  • Be studying or planning to study full-time towards an undergraduate qualification in any field (excluding Medicine) at a recognised tertiary institution in Gauteng
  • Be enrolled in a programme lasting at least one year

Selection Criteria

Bursaries will be awarded primarily on two factors:

  • Academic excellence
  • Financial need, based on combined annual household income

Required Supporting Documents

Applicants must submit clear, certified copies of the following documents:

  • South African ID
  • Grade 11 results and Matric June 2025 report (if currently in Matric)
  • Matric/NSC results (if already completed Matric)
  • Full academic record including latest results (if currently studying)
  • Proof of residence in Ekurhuleni (e.g., a municipal or utility bill)
  • Proof of parents’ or guardians’ income:
    • Latest payslips (if employed)
    • Affidavit if unemployed
    • Affidavit stating annual income (if self-employed)
    • Death certificate (if deceased)

Note: Missing documentation may lead to automatic disqualification.
