Rand Refinery (Pty) Limited has opened applications for its Commercial Graduate Programme, an 18-month fixed-term contract designed to provide young South Africans with valuable work experience and career development opportunities. The programme is based in Johannesburg’s East Rand and is available to 15 successful candidates.
About the Programme
The Rand Refinery Commercial Graduate Programme is structured to help graduates transition into the professional workforce. Over the 18-month period, participants will receive training, mentorship, and hands-on work experience within a world-class refining and trading environment.
The initiative is aimed at empowering youth between the ages of 25 and 35, preparing them to contribute meaningfully as future professionals in various fields. Graduates will gain exposure across the business value chain and work directly with stakeholders in multiple functional areas.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- A completed matric qualification.
- A completed tertiary qualification with an overall aggregate of at least 75% in one of the following fields:
- BCom in Supply Chain / Logistics Management
- Bachelors in International Trade & Auditing and Risk Management
- Degree in Environmental or Diploma in Safety Management
- Bachelors in Marketing
- Bachelors of Computing / Data Science
- BTech / National Diploma in IT (Applications, Asset Management, or Data)
- BA/BCom or Honours in Psychology
- BCom in Accounting / Finance
Application Requirements
To be considered, applicants must submit:
- A two-page CV.
- A certified copy of their ID.
- A certified copy of their matric certificate.
- Certified copies of their academic record and qualifications.
- A Microsoft Excel spreadsheet summarising marks per module/subject to confirm the required 75% aggregate.
Important: Applications without the Excel document will not be reviewed.
How to Complete the Excel Spreadsheet
- List all completed subjects or modules.
- Record the marks achieved for each subject/module.
- Calculate the average by dividing the total marks by the number of subjects/modules.
Closing Date
The deadline for applications is 16 September 2025. Interested graduates are encouraged to prepare and submit all required documentation before the closing date.
