Rand Water Graduate Development Programme

Rand Water, one of South Africa’s largest water utilities, has announced an exciting opportunity for young graduates to kick-start their careers through its Graduate Development Programme for 2025/2026. This initiative is specifically designed to empower youth who have recently completed their studies in key disciplines relevant to the water and public services sector. With the programme based in Glenvista, Johannesburg, selected candidates will gain valuable workplace experience over a 24-month period.

The Graduate Development Programme offers a structured and supportive environment where graduates can develop practical skills, gain real-world knowledge, and contribute meaningfully to Rand Water’s mission of delivering high-quality water and sanitation services to millions of South Africans.

Graduate Development Programme Available:

Rand Water is offering a total of ten placements across various disciplines, providing an inclusive opportunity for graduates with different academic backgrounds. The positions available in the 2025/2026 intake include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Governance (1 position)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration (1 position)
  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (2 positions)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology (1 position)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design (1 position)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Animation (1 position)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Regional Town Planning (1 position)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Management (2 positions)

Each role has a 24-month duration, designed to build competencies, expose graduates to real project work, and foster professional growth.

Glenvista: A Hub for Development

The entire programme will be hosted at Rand Water’s Glenvista offices, a strategic location in Johannesburg South. Glenvista provides a modern, dynamic environment where graduates will interact with industry professionals, mentors, and other trainees, helping them build networks and confidence.
