SAPU Learnership Opportunities

The South African Police Union (SAPU) has announced 150 learnership opportunities available across several provinces, giving young South Africans the chance to gain skills and qualifications while contributing to the community.

These programmes are designed for dependants of active SAPU members and cover various accredited qualifications, including New Venture Creation NQF Level 2 and Youth Development NQF Level 5. The application closing date is 3 October 2025.

Provinces and Available Learnership Opportunities

SAPU is offering placements in the following provinces:

  • Eastern Cape – 40 opportunities
  • Mpumalanga – 25 opportunities
  • Gauteng – 25 opportunities
  • Free State – 40 opportunities
  • Northern Cape – 20 opportunities

Who Can Apply?

Applicants must be:

  • Dependants (sons, daughters, nieces, nephews, etc.) of active SAPU members.
  • Between the ages of 18 and 35.
  • Holders of a matric certificate.
  • Free of any criminal record.
  • Supported by a Dibanani/MA-SAPU policy of the main SAPU member.
  • Able to provide a certified ID copy of both the main member and the applicant.
