Available SASSA Vacancies

1. Local Office Manager: Ingwavuma

Location: Ingwavuma Local Office
Salary: R1,059,105 – R1,247,574 per annum, inclusive of benefits

Minimum Requirements:
Applicants must hold a qualification in the relevant field at NQF Level 6 or 7 as recognized by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). Additionally, candidates should have at least three years of experience at an Assistant Manager level or equivalent. Computer literacy and a valid driver’s license are essential.

Key Duties:

  • Monitor the provision of effective and efficient social security services within the local office.
  • Manage the grant administration program and processes at Service Points.
  • Provide advice on social assistant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Oversee administrative support services and manage office resources.
  • Coordinate operational plans in line with regional and district strategies.

Employment Equity Targets:

  • 1st Preferred: African Female
  • 2nd Preferred: Indian Female and White Male/African Male

2. Administration Clerk: Administrative Support Services

Location: Raisethorpe Local Office
Salary: R228,321 – R268,950 per annum, exclusive of benefits
Reference Number: S12/2025

Minimum Requirements:
Applicants must hold a Senior Certificate and have 0–1 year of working experience. Computer literacy and a valid driver’s license are required, as the successful candidate will be expected to drive.

Key Duties:

  • Maintain logbooks for pool vehicles and ensure proper maintenance.
  • Keep registers updated, including asset registers, leave forms, and HR documents.
  • Implement a filing system aligned with the master file plan of SASSA.
  • Assist in arranging meetings, special events, and awareness campaigns.
  • Obtain quotations, write motivation documents, and submit Comparative Schedules for approval.
  • Ensure compliance with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).

Employment Equity Targets:

  • 1st Preferred: Indian Male
  • 2nd Preferred: Indian Female and White Male/African Female

3. Grants Administrator (X5 Posts)

Locations & Reference Numbers:

  1. Port Shepstone Local Office X2 – Ref No: G58/2025
  2. Inanda Local Office – Ref No: G59/2025
  3. Mandeni Local Office – Ref No: G60/2025

Salary: R228,321 – R268,950 per annum, exclusive of benefits

Minimum Requirements:
Applicants must hold a Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4) along with a relevant National Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 6/7). Computer literacy is essential. A valid driver’s license and/or administrative or clerical experience are advantageous.

Key Duties:

  • Provide grant customer care services.
  • Screen and capture grant applications, including beneficiary maintenance functions.
  • Administer medical bookings and assessments.
  • Offer off-site grant application services to clients.
  • Scan and batch grant files efficiently.

  • 2nd Preferred: Indian Male and Indian Female
