AFGRI Grain Management is inviting applications for the position of Semi-Skilled Artisan Electrical to be based in the North West Region. This permanent role offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and efficiency of grain handling operations across AFGRI’s storage facilities.
Artisan Electrical Job Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for the field-specific maintenance of grain handling equipment within storage facilities. Working under instruction, the technician will ensure operational continuity, equipment reliability, and adherence to AFGRI’s safety and quality standards.
Minimum Requirements
Education & Training
- Studying towards a qualified Artisan (Electrical or Millwright).
- Valid Vehicle Licence.
Work Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a maintenance environment.
- Experience in a grain handling facility will be an added advantage.
Key Performance Areas
- Maintenance and servicing of silo machines and related equipment.
- Ensuring safety controls are implemented and maintained.
- Managing tools, equipment, and asset controls.
- Maintaining sound employee relations and teamwork in all operations.
Technical Competencies
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems and electrical components.
- Strong problem-solving and crisis management abilities.
- Practical, hands-on approach to maintenance and repairs.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure with minimal supervision.
