What the Bursary Covers
The SIOC Community Development Trust Bursaries provide full financial support to make education more accessible. Successful applicants will receive funding for:

- Assistive devices for students with disabilities

Who Can Apply?
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be a South African citizen.
- Reside in one of SIOC-CDT’s beneficiary communities (Northern Cape or Limpopo).
- Be currently in Matric (Grade 12) OR already studying at a recognized public tertiary institution.
- Intend to study or currently be studying in one of the preferred fields listed above (though other fields are also accepted).
Required Documents
When applying, students must submit certified copies (not older than 3 months) of the following documents:
- ID document
- Latest Matric mid-year or preliminary results (if currently in Matric)
- Matric certificate (if already completed)
- Most recent tertiary results/transcripts (if already studying)
- Proof of acceptance/provisional acceptance/application at a public tertiary institution
- Parents’/guardians’ proof of household income (payslips if employed, affidavit if unemployed)
- Parents’/guardians’ bank statements (latest 3 months)
- Proof of residence (municipal bill, lease agreement, or affidavit from local councillor)
- Medical certificate (if applying as a student with a disability)

Applicants have two options – online (preferred) or manual application:
