Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership
As the Social Media Manager, you will develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with Sportscene’s business and brand objectives. Your role will involve staying ahead of platform trends, emerging technologies, and cultural moments, ensuring the brand remains at the forefront of digital innovation. Additionally, you will manage the relationship with the social agency, ensuring seamless performance and alignment with brand goals.
Content & Campaign Management
The Social Media Manager will oversee content planning, creation, and publishing across all social channels, including Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube. You will also manage both paid and organic social campaigns, working to maximise reach and return on investment (ROI). Close collaboration with designers, copywriters, and influencers will be key to creating high-impact campaigns that resonate with the target audience.
Community Management
Building and nurturing online communities will be central to this role. You will implement social listening and proactive engagement strategies to maintain a positive online presence. Managing crisis communication and ensuring brand reputation are also critical aspects of this role, ensuring Sportscene’s voice remains authentic and consistent.
Analytics & Performance
You will define KPIs and track social media performance to prepare regular reports with insights and recommendations across multiple brands. Continuously testing and refining strategies to improve engagement, conversion rates, and follower growth will be crucial for maintaining Sportscene’s digital dominance.
Collaboration
Partnering with PR, influencers, and paid media teams to amplify campaigns will be a core responsibility. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure social strategies align with product launches, events, and partnerships, using social-first storytelling to support broader marketing initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field, with 4–6 years of proven social media management experience. At least 2–3 years in a senior or lead role is preferred. The candidate must be highly skilled in managing social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn, and possess experience with analytics tools such as Meta Business Suite and Google Analytics.

- Leadership & Team Management: Proven experience in leading a team and collaborating across departments.
- Creative Content Creation: Strong copywriting, storytelling, and content ideation skills.
- Analytics & Strategy: Proficiency in using analytics tools to refine social strategies and maximise ROI.
- Paid Social Campaigns: Experience managing paid social budgets with a focus on driving performance.
- Project Management: Ability to juggle multiple campaigns in a fast-paced environment.
- Cultural Relevance: Deep understanding of streetwear culture, youth trends, and pop culture, with the ability to translate these into relevant content.
