What the Internship Offers

The Supply Chain Intern will gain valuable experience across the MEA Projects business. Key Responsibilities

  • Spend time with the Supply Chain department and other teams to understand the full supply value chain.
  • Support technical buyers with procurement tasks, analysis, presentation preparation, and negotiations.
  • Manage and respond to supplier and customer enquiries, including complex issues related to orders, vendors, and shipments.
  • Ensure supplier BBBEE certificates are kept up to date to strengthen the company’s BEE status.
  • Compile and maintain the tender register for all RFQs issued for contracts.
  • Capture and update orders in the ERP system to maintain accurate internal data.
  • Expedite deliveries to meet customer deadlines and verify completion within the agreed timeframe.
  • Assist in maintaining the vendor master file.

Health and Safety Commitment

The intern will also be expected to support adherence to health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with company policy and contributing to a safe working environment.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Grade 12 / Matric.
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement and supply chain management.
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good time management and self-discipline.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to gain hands-on experience.
  • Valid driver’s licence.
